Hullo there, everyone! (and for all of you Americanas out there, Happy 4th of July! For you non-Americanas, uh, Happy… Wednesday? Yeah.)
I wanted to know what you guys think of the new “style” I have for these pages, if you can even notice the change. I like it, because I think I'd be able to make the characters more consistent (see: Dan) and I like drawing in this style better. Also, it's been so long since I've done a page that I forgot why I put in speech bubbles before I resize the image. Now I know. Again.
I actually colored and lettered this page in one day, all in one sitting. I have never been able to do that before, so it's kind of huge. Part of it was that I tried a flatter approach to coloring, i.e. the character's hair isn't so full looking and I've stopped putting highlights on the clothes (a while ago). I'm hoping that'll let me color things faster and be able to keep up with the schedule. I also think the other part of it was that I had to go to work in a few hours, and I really wanted to make sure to get this page done.
Heeey, speaking of work (ha, what a nice segue) I have a new job at a place called Carini's Ristorante. After about 2 or 3 months of looking and applying to places, I've finally got a job! It's reasurring to know that I'll have some sort of income. The only downfall is that I am standing around (mostly bored out of my mind) for around 7 hours per shift.
Well, that's all for now. Enjoy the page, and I'll see you next week!

The flat effect works fine and if it helps make it easier to continue this go ahead by all mean! ^^ What exactly has that "bog got"? Hehehe ^^ Hmm... Perhaps he shouldn't have missed with this aggressive person...? A Submarine in the office?

Well, hey, thanks guys! And to Ian Jay: Weeeeeell... you've got half of it right. It's not a spaceship, but it does tie into why the chapter is called "Gardenhead." So you get a special prize! It'll probably be coming through the mail sometime soon.

OH SNAP THE NEW STYLE IS HYPERCOOOOOOOL Also, though the style is simplified, the intensity of your art still hasn't gone down. The roses on the welder's mask was a nice touch. Also, I'm wondering... does the vaguely watermelon-shaped spaceship tie in with the "Gardenhead" on both the door and the title of this chapter?
