I know - stores over here have Xmas things in, Halloween things in, Guy Fawkes night thing in. Its crazy and as for Xmas songs - dont get me started X_X

I just wish the holidays decor shows up when their suppose to. It's getting to the point you don't know which holiday is when. Before Labor day is't Halloween, before Halloween it's Christmas...wait I'm missing a holiday, what is it?

@ aqua 77 Jesus was born during a census. The Romans never conducted a census in winter. The date for Christmas was only recorded AFTER they and a few cults merged into the one faith, under the orders of the roman Emporer Constintine. The twenty fifth of December was the day that Mathies was born. He was the savior figure of his own cult, which was merged into the early Christian faith.

Corruption is right. It is a Pagan holiday Christians made to get the Pagans into their church.. Or so I'm told. I agree with you Joff, Why do people start doing Christmas in September?!

This Christmas is going to be a bit weird for me, seeing as how I'll no longer be celebrating it as such (more of a midwinter/winter solstice celebration), but my family will still be. Meh. Who says you can't be coincidentally celebrating two different things as the same time and not have a good time anyway?

At my last job, we would get christmas stuff shipped to the store in April, start putting it out in June/July. More power to you Steve.

I agree with the sentiment, but I have to look at it from the manufacturer's side (it's part of my job), where they have to make the product months in advance. But I'd prefer to not have to deal with the ads until mid-November.

Yeah, I have the same thought. Granted as a kid I identified half the year with my birthday, and the other half with christmas. I've seen snowflake decorations go up before leaves even fell! *Shakes fist at marketing.* It's all to catch whiny kids, I think, too.
