Kind of have to agree with him, although it's not really that scary. Wait until he points out that the SUN has a shadow here in our reality. You know, that thing that does nothing but generate tons of tons of light every single moment. We just don't notice it because of the issue of relative magnitude. But if there was a wavelength that the sun didn't emit, then we would in theory notice an absence of that wavelength on a camera that only saw that one 'color'. The sun is surprisingly good at blocking light, for emitting so much. Probably the same reason it's dense enough to create said light. ;)

With all the magic they have, you'd think someone would, I dunno, try to look closer at the moon? Or at least try to figure out why it 'disappears' and 'reappears', so they can use it in spells.
