I draw the panels first and then put the sketches in them. On the top right panel his head is indeed twisted around to suggest a "disturbing surprise" effect.

Cool. Do you do the panels then decide how the sketches are gonna fit in them, or do you draw the sketches first, then put the panel frames around them? (His head looks like it's twisted around backwards in the top right panel by the door in the sketch there.)
