Chapter 1: Wannabe | 41

Continuing the scene between Freya and Tom, hinting at the fact that both Freya and Go!Anna/Annie Summers had been best friends whilst they went through the Magellan Academy together. Also, picking up on a thread from the earlier Faculty meeting with this call from Council President Mary Jemmas… you'll find out what about tomorrow! Thanks for reading and the comments.

Thanks, when I was working on Magellan at this time I really wanted to show them in a normal light even though they were in the most fantastical of professions. I'm working on the mother of all cast lists at the moment, it doesn't give much away on the top level, but will list every face that's ever had a name attached to it. Might take a little while to get finished I'm always finding more characters to add!

I like the way they talk about superheroing the way policemen talk about other policemen, or firemen talk about other firemen. Xmung, you might link to the cast lists you have on other sites. (If they don't give too much away. Your call.)---Al

also, i should mention this first chapter (another 20 pages to go) is mostly about setting up the premise and the main characters, etc - things will settle down from Chapter 2 onwards and the action really kicks into top gear! :)

@Lemniskate: yes it is a problem, I've tried to focus in on just a few characters and use copious liner notes by way of assisting with that problem. I'm also working on an extensive cast list at the moment which I'm hoping will make a huge difference. Most of the faces so far are mostly extras who might occasionally rise to the fore. Magellan has been called epic in the past... and it pretty much lives up to the tag. Please suggest any other ways you think I might be able to help me make the reading of it a smoother meal to digest and I'll see what I can do.

So many people you don't have the time to stay in touch with.
