the problem with most comics is that the hero saves the earth from such threats on a monthly basis, i believe that this comic operates at the once a generation policy. next time something like this happens they are going to simply say that the martyr simply lived up to magellan's legacy, then given a posthumous medal so his memory will just fade away, like [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_Michael_the_Brave]Order of Michael the Brave.[/url] or not.
