Magellan History | 10
xmung on Sept. 23, 2010
Today wraps up the history of the Magellan universe with a few final concepts, some which I have gone on to play with a bit and others that I hope to at some point. Notably the other super groups (Magellan USA, Oz Magellan, etc) get mentioned in future stories; and the notion of graduating cadets adding the Magellan star insignia to their costumes has also been previously mentioned.
Tomorrow kicks off the start of Chapter 2: The Great Leap Forward! Thanks for commenting and for supporting the comic.

Hey, if someone can burst into flames it would make for an entertaining act right? Gotta learn how to make it work for you... :)

I'm interested in knowing how Greenslopes prepares you for work in the entertainment industry...

Many thanks for the comments and feedback. I hope to get to tell stories around many of the concepts raised during the course of this brief History - especially Greenslopes. I should note that a number of super-powered cadets at Magellan would have done their earlier schooling at Greenslopes before they were old enough to apply for cadetship as supers at Magellan Academy. Many of the scenarios described during the history were previously crafted during the pre-planning stage, some aspects came to me while I worked on the first chapter and the rest occurred to me while I was working on the history itself!

Been off for a while but just got all caught up! Love the History piece. It really demonstrates just how much thought has gone into this. Really enjoying reading this.

I think Greenslopes makes perfect sense---not every one with superpowers would want to become a super hero OR villain.

Greenslopes always fascinated me - because yeah, I believe that not everyone super-powered wants to become a superhero "great power - great responsibility" nonwithstanding. And actually I'd like to see the stories of the Greenslopes guys and gals much more than those of the superheroes...

you especially shouldn't jump off bridges if your friends do it. if a hero does show up s/he may not be able to save everyone. to make you feel bad (like the numbering issue) you should have a comma between grew and regional in panel three. you'e been grammar nazied!!
