Touchdown! One of the things that always bugs me about superhuman feats in comics, TV shows and movies has been how they heft amazingly heavy objects without either the object collapsing in on its own weight at the single point of support and/or the hefter not being driven into the ground by the sheer mass of the object pressing down on them. Not so in Magellan!

well you see in those universes every object is required to be reinforced in such a way to allow a super being to heft it without it falling apart. the part about the hero sinking into the ground doesn't happen due to the special reinforcement the crust gets in those universes, although this does lead to some interesting flaws (like a nuke at the right place will cause an earthquake that will 'sink' a tectonic plate). just another reason why this is the best comic i have read (no offense al, easybee, neil, kitty, ben, dan, nepath, dajb, abbey, remus, anubic, curt, ursula, rich, thip).
