Of course, you have to wonder if Chiq would ever use a codename. I mean, what's the point if you are that recognizalble?

I really wanted to avoid that approach - they officially get (and register) them once they manage to make it to the end of the fourth year (with two years of training still to go); although they might often use them informally well before that.

Nothing abgainst standard pep-talks, because when you're the adressee, it's meant just for you :)
