Chapter 4: Bad Karma | 18

Methinks Kaycee might be suffering from a small case of denial. Now of course we all know she should get her hallucinations checked out… but where would be the fun in that?? ;-)
Tomorrow we catch up with Freya, Go!Anna and Brelvis after their Sydney adventures. In case you're wondering, this chapter follows on from the last almost directly, maybe a day or two has passed at the most.
Thanks for reading and commenting. Be sure to check out Crossoverkill which features Hoodoo from Magellan and a heap of other awesome superheo webcomics… there should be a new update today as all kinds of mayhem erupt in Fusion's world…

That's right , they're very big on recycling at Magellan. Incidentally, I sometimes make comments about "facts" relating to the comic which might be (ahem) inaccurate (or downright wrong). This in part is due to stupidity and forgetfulness, but also because of the vastness of the general concept, cast and backstory. I remember now I am also once quoted as saying that the robots are mostly made out of a synthetic substance that can replicate the external physical properties of human flesh. That's probably much more accurate than saying it is a special alloy that can be punched. At any rate, in both instances it is my attempt at handwaving the fact that Kaycee (and numerous other non-invulnerable cadets) can punch a robot without shattering every bone in her hand. Artistically, I let myself down by having some shiny, apparently metallic, parts on the robot. Hence, I presume, the comment about the alloy. Annnnnyway, all this proves is that I really need to put together a "Magellan Bible" that consolidates all the various in-story references and authorial comments/asides/theories/etc

@kriss well, if you think about it, all they have to do is pick up the pieces and rebuild the robot from scratch.

@alschroeder Yeah, how much does fake-ium cost anyway?

I'd hate to foot the bill for all the robots the super-powered trainees (and Kaycee) knock out of commission...

"Several rounds" later, eh? Those poor robots!
