Probably the only thing that saved Sioni's spleen is the fact that he was near weightless when Kaycee booted him in the stomach… I'm guessing the laws of something or other scientific might back me up on that? Anyone??

I really enjoy drawing Sioni in his floaty poses - that second frame is a particular fave. Note that Rochelle is very unimpressed by these late night shenanigans. Originally I was going to end by having Nadine still half-asleep asking if it was morning yet with Kaycee telling her to go back to sleep but thought it better to have Kaycee reflect on her apparent mental problems!

Tomorrow… Tom and Freya get ready for bedtime!

lol - now my brain hurts! But yeah, that was a good pick up, Sioni does control his mass not his weight... but that sounds like he should have lost his spleen and his spine from her kick. Perhaps I need to add some Applied Phlebotinum to hand wave it away!

you are getting your mass and weight mixed up, if he is weightless and still retains his mass then he would float, but still absorb kinetic as normal (though it would move him more), if he was massless then he would react more so to kinetic energy, just look at astronauts. if they had similar problems they would shatter themselves doing the most mundane of things. now sioni is supposed to have mass control (which sounds better than weight control), but since he can use his abilities outside and doesn't fly away at the slightest breeze then he has in effect weight control. as mass resists change in velocity, and weight is what holds you to the earth.

Actually, being weightless and hit by somebody at normal gravity would result in MORE internal damage as your inertia factor to keep everything in place would be lowered, and the factoring of the force applied would be greater. Let's say the kick was 100 Newtons at 1G, when it hits something at .1G it would be relevant to 1000G. Since he is not whipping off at 45,000 mph, there is obviously still SOME gravity on him. If was truly 0G, it would not have hurt at all until he slammed into something.
