Chapter 4: Bad Karma | 49

OK - so this page is a bit tricky if you haven't been following along since the start if Chapter 4. Essentially ‘Fake Karma’ (so called since she killed and is now impersonating the real Karma (who was the pre-cog hero known as Premonitia in the 1960s-70s))has the telepath Gola under her control via an illusion that they are in a 1972 Moscow bunker working to prevent the destruction of the world by Q'Arth demons. Got all that? Anyway, I included this page to show just how Gola telepathically perceived the Magellan Island inhabitants through the prism of all that… Freya as a kind of punk throwback in an era before punk even existed! The reference to “Applecossovsky sector” was intended to illustrate how the Moscow illusion was constructed like stories or computer programs within Gola's mind with specific names and parameters, etc to make it appear realistic.
Tomorrow… back to Tom and Freya!
Thanks for reading and commenting. Be sure to check out Crossoverkill which features Hoodoo from Magellan and a heap of other awesome superhero webcomics… there was a new update on Thursday as our heroes deal with a potentially explosive situation.

Wait, it took me this long to get it. Readers'll see what I mean later, but gosh darn it. I re-read the page a few times and only NOW fully understand it. Otherwise, it was a fun little aside.

Evil Karma is not a perfectionist with her illusions... Not an artist.

You know, I would start to question why a USSR place is named after 'Mom's apple pie' as the American phrase goes.

I have now desire to name something Applecrossovsky.

Evil Karma is so full of herself since she doesn't think Gola will figure it out. even in the most perfect plan will always have a weakness. Damn.. i feel sorry for Gola to be locked in this state.
