drunk duck is having issues, had to go to my profile to get here. gavriel, keep in mind it is compounded each step over the distance they are running. even wearing a heavy coat (not zipped or anything so it flaps around) will tire you out much faster than normal. part of the reason is psychological, you don't change your stride to accommodate the extra resistance, which means that the efficiency of your stride is less in addition to a slight increase in workload, coupled with the fact you are trying to keep up the same pace as normal. basic science says it shouldn't do anything noticeable, yet specific science into this stuff reveals it is greater than that by a decent margin. it is actually quite interesting if you get the time to look it up, not sure where it would be on the net though.

I think he did feel a bit sorry for Applecross and figured this works without him having to drop the 'titanium ass' routine. Not hard ass, not bad ass, titanium ass, for when you've GOT to be crule.

Resistance? Do you mean resistance to mass change or wind resistance because the latter doesn't matter as much as most think it does until very high speeds.
