Chapter 4: Bad Karma | 100
xmung on May 4, 2011
And so we reach PAGE 100 (woot!)!! I think it took me about a year to get this far the first time around, but only a bit over three months this time - ain't daily updates grand?
So Red Team take a similar path to Blue Team with some notable differences… how will it all play out? You can bet that Rochelle had a major role in the formation of this plan but will anyone stick to it?
After this page was published the first time it was pointed out to me that the puddle forming outside the vent was likely to be inaccurate, given the angle of the vent facade the mercury would drip down inside the vent. True! My counter is that… ahh… there is a slight gap under the vent and an incline down away from the opening and so it has mostly leaked back out and pooled in front of the vent. Yes… that's why!
Tomorrow… more Red Team action…?
Thanks for reading and commenting. Be sure to check out Crossoverkill which features Hoodoo from Magellan and a heap of other awesome superhero webcomics…

I would have used the "wizard did it" explanation too.

see, i would have gone with "a wizard did it." but i guess you are just too nice for such things. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=a%20wizard%20did%20it personall y i prefer this approach, the weak with the strong, that way if things go wrong one can adapt quicker. though i doubt kaycee would think of having someone help her out in case she fails. people used to play around with mercury, very few got mercury poisoning. though the comment still fits as it re-solidifies. Security against defeat implies defensive tactics; ability to defeat the enemy means taking the offensive.

@al: what I didn't explain very clearly with Chang's comment is that the spell only lasts that long because that's the extent of his skill. If he was more powerful the spell might last longer -if he wanted it to, but you're right, in this instance it's most useful.

I like the limited timeframe of the spell. Most effective.---Al

I never took offence at the way the puddle formed.
