Chapter 4: Bad Karma | 101

Got to hand it to those Magellan robo techs, they can design a circuit that can be effected in specific ways by specific powers - all they need to know are the parameters! If a real life bug-mutate would be effected by Maya's powers, they'll try their darndest to make sure the robo version would likewise fall under the thrall of her mojo. How they do it is any one's guess!! Gotta love that robo-kid who wanted to be rescued by Epoch… classic!
Tomorrow… Red Team moves against Evil Weevil.

Charisma is NEVER satisfied.--Al

That's true - the robomat is largely driven thru a central computer, that way no one robot can gain sentience (ala holoprojector in ST: Next Gen) and run amok. Mind you Sista Superior robot vs Sista Superior could be interesting - except for the fact the 'powered' bots don't exactly replicate powers - it's all mostly simulated with the computer advising injury/death.

sending charisma to disable the device while kwon makes a tactical entrance? how unconventional, i'll just have to wait and see how this turns out, or fondly recollect the next page, either way the next page is bound to be an interesting twist on blue team's tactics. at first i thought that robots being sensitive to a psychic power was a bit off. then i realized that they don't have to be, simply by measuring the brain waves from maya you can calculate the parts and intensity of the brain being used. which if one knows enough about the relationship between her power and how it is triggered by her brain then you can tell what she is trying to do. and if that would affect the bugs then they would act accordingly, in fact they don't even need to house the sensing equipment, they just need to be told by a central control unit. doing so would make the bots cheaper, and allow better sensing due to bigger/more complex sensing devices. such technology isn't too far ahead of what we can do today, as we can get some rather crude images, as well as certain emotions (even non basic stuff like 'the hand of god' feeling, or deja vu). here's some other interesting things they can do with neuroscience: V http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2007/feb/09/neuroscience.ethicsofscience Thus, to take a long and circuitous route, after enticing the enemy out of the way, and though starting after him, to contrive to reach the goal before him, shows knowledge of the artifice of DEVIATION.

Hey, why are you denying us our joy of commenting on the wants-to-be-saved-by-Epoch robokid ourselves? :)
