i think that she knows this, but is simply distraught right now. with the stress of the failure, she sees blame everywhere, and builds her friends into those that share what she feels is obvious. if he keeps up the soft words he may just set her upon the path of not crazy, and she shall be a great hero. or he can stop and she can push herself to never fail again, eventually succumbing to the stress and becoming a vigilante carving her way through the dangerous underbelly of society, one psycho clown at a time. At first, then, exhibit the coyness of a maiden, until the enemy gives you an opening; afterwards emulate the rapidity of a running hare, and it will be too late for the enemy to oppose you.

For some reason I really like the "gruff voice" and "mock stance" pointers. They make the panel three times as funny (approx.).
