I like how things are slowly coming together all from very reasonable places, even though there's no direct connection between them all, sort of. Not like they've included Bill on the discussions about Tom, but he took what little he knows and made a very logical conclusion about it. Looking forward to finding out if Bill (and my own conclusions) are on track or if you're tossing us a massive curve by intertwining a few similar plot elements.

"you're not as smooth at this than she is." always a bad thing to hear from your mate. though since she is australian, mate isn't quite as intimate a term. the whole taking off being fine but not being able to land reminds me of a DOD investigator asking about students learning how to go down in a SCUBA class without learning how to come up back in 2012. had to explain that SCUBA is a little different than flying.
