Chapter 4: Bad Karma | 137

Unlike the one-page-wonder receptionist, security guard Cassandra (Cassie) Bloom will be seen at various points throughout the rest of this chapter (and beyond). This is her first appearnce though. Cassie typifies a number of the security guards working on Magellan Island - in possession of a super power but, for various reasons, overlooked for cadetship at the Academy. Most of them don't hold a grudge… Cassie, maybe does!
Tomorrow… Gola Beh must die!
Thanks for reading and commenting. Be sure to check out Crossoverkill which features Hoodoo from Magellan and a heap of other awesome superhero webcomics…

I'll get to the current Magellanverse storyline when it comes up here on DD. But you make a good point anyhow Al, people with superhuman powers -and- a grudge tend to be a troublesome combination.

When not bemoaning his fate, Vostok is very efficient in putting out information, because he doesn't care about feelings hurt.

the sand powers are kinda cool, but, the mental issues are most likely the real reason she got looked over. If our soldiers are not overburdened with money, it is not because they have a distaste for riches; if their lives are not unduly long, it is not because they are disinclined to longevity.

Resentful superbeings are ALWAYS a dangerous combination...as seen in the current MAGELLENVERSE storyline.
