Chapter 4: Bad Karma | 138

Sometimes I think I spend abit too much time explaining stuff through characters. In retrospect, some of what gets said above is useful to know but not essential to the story… and yet for all that there's a lot that doesn't get explained. For example, the blood symbol Karmaya painted on the floor over in the meeting room, was always intended to serve as teleport point for Evil Chang (so he could ‘port blind, as it were, into an unknown location) - and yet this is never explained in the story. Oh well, it’ll make a useful plot point again in some future story I'm sure!
Tomorrow… Gola Beh… a goner??

@Tolrick - "Karmaya" evolved out of the comments this time around. I can't even remember what nickname I was using for her in the first run - this time I was originally calling her "Faux Karma", from Fauxlivia in FRINGE, then somehow "Karmaya" happened...!

Actually it reads just fine to me. Sometimes you just have to not worry about exposition or filler and just let the characters talk. To me this all sounds just like what two people in a hurried conversation on the phone might have. They know if Gola's out of it, they no longer have the security they had. So there's really no time for Karmaya to explain to Chang stuff he already knows. Oh and just a curious thought, when you first wrote and drew all this stuff, did you have the nickname 'Karmaya' in mind? Or was that just something that popped up from reader comments?
