@al: you'd need a considerably higher voltage to do anything more than tickle Epoch. Charisma's "half-norm" parentage does make her less powerful than her father.

While Charisma might be vulnerable to electricity, I doubt Billy is, and they kinda forgot he was there too. Meanwhile, there is actually precedent to people with that sort of power being adversely affected by electricity. It's a common thing in cartoons and comic books for, say, superman to be hurt by high voltage power. Just because their skin is really dense or whathaveyou, folks like Charisma still have nervous systems that can get jolted and shocked. They'll get back up quicker than you or me, well me at least...I don't know about you, but it'll still take em out for a bit. Giving our girl here a special vulnerability to it just makes it a little more effective, plus being fun to see.

if you give it like a man, you gotta take it like a man. frankly i would have done the same, after all she can take the zap, it just stuns her. and they have a mission to complete, which is hampered by the questions arisen from the answers to the questions she was asking. not to mention that it would cause harm to the locals. in the end, while ruthless as she is being, her methods will cause the best possible result for the indigenous, which you can throw a bone after wards to appease them. stopping a world ending crisis lends that kind of support. Too frequent rewards signify that the enemy is at the end of his resources too many punishments betray a condition of dire distress.

Marverick doesn't play with kid gloves on. I cannot say seehing Charisma electroduced isn't somehow satysfying.
