Today’s update plays against the usual trope of Everyone Fights Now – in which two opposing groups ostensibly working towards the same goal first meet each other and a pointless fight of might transpires until one of the other realise what’s going on. I’ll admit I was originally going to that but decided it was so cliché it was best to go in this direction instead.

You might notice that apart from the color change to her costume in Crossoverkill – from blue to scarlet – other changes for Hoodoo’s look include no longer having the Chinese symbol on the back and dropping the pattern/braiding from the edging. In redesigning her costume I decided to lose the symbol because I couldn’t find a simple one that meant simply “magic” and decided it was better to have nothing at all.

Tomorrow… Anti-climax cancelled?
