I have been doing some reserch. Coinilus of Dogs_Eye_View has been making l-space references in the comments section during the Library sequences. I thought this was some of that computer speak my kids use like lol XD 133t etc. I hate being left out. Then Joff of Life_and_Death made the comment Library-Space so I went on a quest to find out what it meant. I wish I hadn't Much to my chagrin I discovered the Terry Pratchett an author of whome I have heard but never have read has beaten me to the Library idea. I thought I was being original. Please it was not my intention to rip off someone elses idea. Next trip to Anchorage I will buy some of Terry's books and read about l-space first hand.
I guess there really are no completely original ideas.

Isn't Pratchett's L-Space actually one big library that is as big as necessary? A few strips back Bec said that the libraries are all connected by portals. Not the same idea at all. Pure originality on your part.

Terry pratchett... l-space... not sure, but that's the guy who writes discworld, right? (I think that's the name) Well if it's who I'm thinking of it's fun books :)

But isn't the basic idea behind library-space just a fantasy version of the internet? Rather than using a computer, or magic ball, you magically go there in person.

I had never heard of l-space either. I do appreciate the information you provide in your comments for our (the readers) edification. I have never heard of Terry Pratchett before now, but I will also be doing some research. Thanks. Oh yeah, before I forget, good strip today!

Wow, that L-Space coincidence is pretty cool - I suppose it does indeed prove that it's very hard to come up with an idea that hasn't been used before :P I never thought you were doing it just as a rip-off, though :)
