blocks of text are cool, long as it explains things in an entertaining and plot moving way. :)

Walls of text are okay as long as they are relevant and are for the benefit of the readers, like this one was, and not for characters or for filler. In cases where it is for the characters benefit narration can be used to skip over the conversation, for example: "Wheels brought Dark Eyes up to speed."
