The explosions have had far-reaching effects. Weather, torrential rains, and high winds. Even tornados and water spouts. Visibility near zero. Extraordinary waves and coastal flooding. The fact that the explosion occurred on a lay line intersection has knocked our all magical means of communications and transportation, ie portals and shadow walk, telepathy.
And no one has heard from the Mall. I hope Sharp Beak can make it through.

Between her and Royal Mother, she has always been the more assertive of the two, and right now their telepathy isn't working, i think this is the first time in a LONG time that she's really been scared.

I have to suspect her difficulty communicating with Royal Mother at the moment is a LARGE part of what's setting her off, 10,000 years of near constant contact, sharing headspace, the quiet would be terrifying.

I hate to say it, but I can see Wind Sirens point of view here. A lot of trouble has been coming to the Dragon Lair recently. Both from outside AND inside the Lair. But I disagree with how she is handling things right now. She is effectively burying her head in the sand in the hopes of avoiding more trouble and that is not going to work.

consider, she's been telepathically linked to Royal Mother for 10,000 years right now that's temporarily severed whenever she's any distance away from her partner, imagine what that'd do to a mind, they share everything even dreams, she's shelling up because she's vulnerable

I can understand the impact to telepathy freaking her out having such an intimate connection for so long and having it suddenly weakened, but they weren't dragged into the situation with the slavers, the slavers had taken and harmed 2 of their own, even before Blue and Silver Stripe are considered. The lair is in the hero business, refugees are the less glamorous part of that business, if they don't have the capacity that's one thing, but to say they aren't in the refugee business is contradictory...
