Here's the second update. I look at “professinal” comic artists and find myself continually amazed at how they can put out a 30 page comic in a month (they pencil the comic in a few days, and within a week or so if they're also inking it). And they put out quality work at that speed. I'm also amazed at the so called “24 hour” comics; a full 30 page comic done in just a day. In a way, updating so late helps me draw faster, but I'm also concentrating on getting better with the drawings and stories as well. I'm sure this probably doesn't make sense, especially since I'm updating this right before going to work. O_O
As for Minna, she now has a friend, and in a story or two she'll gain a few more. Despite the elitist behavior of many Magiversity students she'll still have friends. :)

I did notice the eye, but since I stole it from Egyptian mythology... ;-) I thought there was a comment about them being magical glasses, also the potential pun about needing a magic 'focus'...

MM: That's not really meant to be a cameo. I just liked the design so much so for now I'll use it on his belt. :) Kam: The staves are the wizard's focus in this world. However, there are some who can cast without a staff (if their magical aptitude is high enough). Minna wears glasses because she's nearsighted. :)

Did Kam happen to notice our friends belt buckle? Hmmmm

I thought the glasses would be a magical focus. Guessed wrong. Not all pros do a whole comic themselves. Some pencil while others ink. Some have assistants (who sometimes do most of the work). Sometimes a backup series (drawn by someone else) will be added to reduce the number of pages an artist has to do each month.
