Apologies to all old golf players, and especially to any kiwi who might be taking offence. 😁

The old coming out in China trope wouldn't work for me - I don't just teach English at school but also Geography, and there's only so much I can bear. I can also tell you that way that Maura doesn't plan on digging entirely straight or she would have to start somewhere in Spain.
If she started in Gloucestershire she might, with a bit of luck, hit one of the Antipode Islands, ignoring the extreme pressure and heat etc. on the way. That's why they got that name.

That's moles for you. I think Maura's main interest is in the giant earthworms she might have heard of, the ones that even glow in the dark. They didn't make it into this comic, although I remember toying with the idea, but this is so delightfully weird, it was a hard decision not to include them.

Print versions of Maura the Mole are still available.

If you happen to live in Germany, the easiest, fastest and cheapest way is to order it at your local bookstore:
● ISBN 978 3 945130-03-2

Everywhere else used to be more difficult for a long time, for various reasons, but I found out how to ship books internationally at a reasonable price and put up a batch for worldwide sale on eBay:

(This has the additional perk that I'll sign your copy if you add a note to your purchase, asking me to.)

There is also a Plattdütsch version called Mieke Mullworp which can be bought through the same channels at the same conditions:
