Goodbyes are never long enough.

Some people say that copying + pasting backgrounds is cheap. Truth be told, I don't.
The
only reason I don't copy + paste my backgrounds is because since I draw
this traditionally, it takes about the same amount of time to draw it
twice as to copy + paste + edit in photoshop.
But,
I DO believe that when you have panels where a character only moves
slightly (like panels 3 & 4 here), that you should definitely redraw
the character twice. People are always moving, so your characters will seem more alive if you take the time to draw it out.
Backgrounds,
however, don't move unless there's a wind or an earthquake or
something. So, it makes sense that they look the same in similar panels.
