Page 23: The Arrow

In a bit of a rush…. I took some shortcuts with the color.

Plot: Phia shows some more of her magical powers! As an earth mage, she has sensitivity powers and can sense things around her when they're within her relatively small range. Also, her eyes turn cool when she's doing this. Fortunately, she sensed the arrow in time, and threw up a shield around May.

Art: Not at all happy with this. Ezzie's awkward-looking (although I did get the relative heights right, the shading is sloppy, the background is cheap, and the magic shield came out more grainy and less luminescent that I wanted (although the radial blur tool gave me a decent ripple effect, which I like.) Phia looks okay in panel 1, though.

Comic: A bit of action here, but don't get used to it. This was a hit-and-run sort of deal… the arrow-shooters are already gone.
