We desire to eat, stay healthy, and produce healthy children. An intelligent robot would be given 'desires' by their programmer. "Three Laws" would not be required so much as a desire to help.
i never got the 3 laws of robotics. all you need is 2 laws, 1: don't allow humans to experience pain or force them to do something, and 2: follow orders, unless orders are in conflict with rule 1
