Pepper was originally inspired by “Jo” from “The Facts of Life”. She was my favorite character in the series. (Jo wasn't a werewolf, but I bet she would've kicked some serious ass if she were one.)

I loved Jo! ...and my feeling is that the judge has some agenda for sending these extraordinary people to oubliette. Building some kind of squad, for some purpose. That's where it seems to be going...

Haha! I remember Jo. What an interesting source of inspiration. Hopefully somebody in Oubliette can be her Blair.

The "oubliette" here is more in reference of "to forget" part. So it's still a place where someone is sent to be forgotten, but it's not a pit or dungeon. So it is a castle... sort of. ;)

@spikes - I guess I'm focusing on the oubliette part - a castle of pits? @dethfan - I think you're on to something, but it reads that the wolf side is starving for that indulgence, not that it IS already girly - which is cool - I don't think of wolves running around looking for that feminine touch.

ayesinback I think it's literally a castle (or at least a large mansion) not exactly a jail/pit. More like a reform school ... Ok some people could consider those a jail though heh.

Everyone who thinks the judge is being bassackwards about Pepper being a Tomboy are missing the point. He said that it's fine that her HUMAN side is a Tomboy. What's screwing her up is that her WOLF side is a GIRLY-GIRL. And until she gets both of her side in balance, she'll continue to have problems like the ones previous.
