this was an idea I played with to give the comic a new look. I always try to add a new element to a comic I do that I haven't before. but it took away from the manga look I felt so I abandoned it.

looks nice but I do like your previous version as well. Though you could use this shading to highlight a dream or a concurrent storyline or state of mind
