Chapter One Page 19

So, this page comes two days past when it was supposed to come out, and it looks less than desirable when it does come out. Ah, well. I think the page was needed to establish a transition, but I don't think it's my best. I'll make up for it with more updates this week.
To those who gave me awesome crits last page,I'll be working on those when I can. Thanks for helping me out. And big thanks to Mlai and Tantz Aerine for letting me bounce ideas off of them.

Nice touch with the wall's pictures, you should definitely keep adding these little details that give life to a comic.

Ooh, I could have sworn I commented on this page already. Arrrgh! Anyway, it looks great, I'm glad you took Hyp's advice with the hands in the middle panel. It makes the page flow really nicely. ^^ I'm looking forward to the next page!

you has an ad? neato. I'm hugging myself in anticipation. And I'm curious...what tools do you use and how do you mix it with the color before it? Less opacity?

I just finished reading through your archives and I must say you have a very unique style and story line for an elf comic! I find it very refreshing. And I have to agree with Tantz_Aerine, the hand outlines are particularly good on this page.

I think it's a good page. I love the colors in the first frame, the perspective in the second frame and the graffiti on the walls is classic! Every page can't be the best you've ever done, but that doesn't mean it's not good on its own merits. Good movement. Besides, they're off the bridge... ;)

cool page...I like the silhouetted hands in the 2nd panel...also I like the crazy graffiti ...looks like children did it...its like a little joke in this page, right? Being and artist...and that is what we all are...I think...is an evolving process...think of the amoeba...it must of looked quite silly between stage fish and bird...

Years ago I would overthink every tiny detail. Now I operate on intuition and I'm having more fun. That works best for me at this point, but I'm not house-broken! I have no technical critiques or plot decryptings, I'm watching the unfolding. I try to enjoy everything because it is what it is.

Still a good page. I find it's not worth beating yourself up too much when a page is not what you wanted or expected it to be. You can't create everypage to perfection, even the greatest comic books you will always find an under par page.

You are most welcome. It's fun to brainstorm :) I really like the shot of the silhouette of Charna's hands. And how she's kneeling on the circle. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself :)
