Man this page was a fun one to draw. But I really had a hard time trying to figure out how to draw that portal teleport effect. I could've copied the classic night crawler Bampf! effect but I wanted to just go with something new and hopefully something that was more of my own visual language. I feel like its a good idea to copy the masters and put your own spin on what they've done but you also have to throw some of your magic around and see what sticks. I think it works.
