Page - 102 [ A Striking Performance ]

x___X I'mma sorry for the page being late, but I tried to do a lot with it ( even if it might not seem like much. @__@; ) I've been waiting to draw something like this page since last friggin' July. =___O; *mnerserss*
^ ^;;; So er… I do take a liking to this page. And Nomed's eeeevil expression is one of my absolute favorites right now. xxxDDD I have made it into an avatar, which people have probably noticed by now. Ah, oh yes… and that's obviously teleportation. Oldest trick in the book, really. xP
So yeah, a weapon like this would do badly for close combat… which is why it comes apart! XD In the next page we'll finally get to see why this gadget doubles as a “yo-yo of death” AND as a Frizbee. ^___^ Some people might remember er… page 88 where there were voices speaking of a “Frizbee Thing”. xO Actually, I'd gotten the colors for the speeches mixed up on that page (;_; I dunno where my head was) but er… yeah, this will be the frizbee thing mentioned waaaay back on that page. So now… *darts eyes* To answer ze word of ze people!
*waves to sister* xD ;;
Wazaga/Mitani: @_@ Ah very good. I was hoping that the spinny effects would look alright. I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the spinning blades though. I don't really like how they keep turning out… both on the last page and on this new page… hrm…
Doklor/Muffineater/GlassInk/Kyupol/ce33/dmc87: Thankye for the fives and kind word! ^ ^
KA: @_@ NekoRanger. xD …. *buwa ha ha*
Mina_Lunga: Aye aye… on this page and the last one you can't really see but this guy has a blade in a sheath that's attached to his right lower leg, there… I've not shown much detail on it, because the main weapon is the this one right here. I imagine hours and months of practice would be needed to work that thing… But there are also a small set of controls on the clasp there… I think sometimes it can even be “played” like a trumpet, y'know? Don't know what all the buttons do specifically, yet, but one of them can retract the cord to pull the spiked sphere back as soon as needed. Another can hold the cord in place so that it does not keep extending. (Think those automatic dog leashes that have that button thing there) One button turns the blades on so that they spin… that could also be the same button that causes the blades to pop out too, and a second push turns on the automatic spin… So one might say this weapon runs on portable electricity… I imagine there's a sophisticated battery both in the sphere and the clasp there. @_@; And there might be one or two other things those buttons thar can do, too. xO And to make things better, you will see next that the spiny bladed disc can seperate from that metal spheric blade. xD And then the disc can chase you around in the air… weeeee! It's a fun weapon to play with, but fairly tricky to use…
Jassination: xD Nomed's still in play mode… ( if he were not, this whole battle probably could have ended a great deal sooner. @ @;; )
and last but not least xO:
Draco: *ohboy I've been waiting for that question. xD* Erm. Before the Anime came out, I was always trying to get my hands on the manga but never could. Then the Anime came out… turned into a soap opera… and then went onto Adult Swim. ;___; It was all downhill after that. Erm. The only similarity between Nomed and Inu-Yasha might be… the hair around the sides of the face, (everyone has white hair these days… although some might say Nomed's hair is not truely white but shhhhh…) Nomed's yellow eyes (which seems to be a traight that follows with white hair. o_O; Like blond hair and blue eyes, dig?) And… I would say his blunt and hot tempered personality… except that Nomed takes that all in a different kind of direction. Where Inu-Yasha might not kill something that's innocent (far as I know) Nomed certainly would. And as demonstrated a long time ago, it doesn't matter if you are a man, woman or child. Nomed doesn't discriminate. : D (sort of). If anything, Nomed could be a darker variation of Inu-Yasha… but in all respects, Nomed is not similar to Inu-Yasha in any deliberate way. That's just how he is. @_@ He's really a wolf, after all…
*bows* ^ ^ !!! eeee, thank you for your words again!!

I'm reminded of the last time I was at a demolition derby. My brother said to me, "You realize that we're cheering for someone's spinal injury?" Yes, yes we are. And I cannot draw Nomed. This had been proven with science.

You know what? I want some of those things. They come in handy should siblings start to tease you. "I'm not IN your room! --Now I am! --Now I'm not! --Now I am! --Now I'm not! What's that thing?"
Wazaga at 1:52PM, June 5, 2006
