Ch2 Pg61 (Part 5: The Book of Answers)

This raises some very interesting questions, don't you think?
You know… when I first posted One Question on this site I was surprised nobody said anything about this. There was only “Well, if I had a question, I'd ask how to release her from her prison so I could get MORE questions!”
But geez, come on! That's like the one guy going “If I had a wish, I'd wish for a million more wishes!”
And that's cheating.
Come on, you honestly didn't think the gods thought of that? Seriously? Come on, seriously.
Cheeko out.

i didnt comment on it before, but I was thinking that if the gods were so worried about someone asking how to become a god or how to kill a god, wouldn't a one question restriction not stop that from happening, just lower the chances a bit? someone could just use one of those two questions as their one question just as long as they knew they were only able to ask one question (make it the first thing they tried to ask), making the precautions somewhat useless. There are a lot of creative questions you can come up with too, but you have to ignore them for the sake of the story.

It's like the Genie in Alladin says: and no wishing for more wishes!

Well... that question may be closely related to Jesus... They say God is Jesus, and God knows everything. So, Jesus would ultimately know that who would be crucified. But, that was for the greater good. Does Crysthel know, for some reason, that being locked away was for the greater good? Maybe, the God's fear of someone destroying them, is well-founded. For the Gods, the givers of life, those which control order, to be destroyed, may only create chaos and agony for all living creatures... That's kinda my view on it. :] But, this might be different if you're not a Christian or something. :| Wait a minute, isn't talking about religion on this site a bad thing? :| *Whistling...*

One question: What are the things i dont know?

This is my first time reading this comic and the story line immediately interested me. So I went back and read it all the way from the beginning last night and I must say I respest everything you are trying to do here and commend you for creating such a well rounded world that the reader can get lost in. And it's okay if you can't update all the time. There are thousands of comics on this site that we can bide our time with until you can update. So from my personal perspective I say take all the time you need. My only small issue is that in a few strips you seemed possibly rushed? So you didn't do backgrounds. Completely understandable. I just think it's worth the extra time to do them instead of updating right away because your backgrounds are what really pulled me into this comic as more than just ink on paper and made it become a world. Sorry if I write too much I just really believe in this comic as a whole and think you're doing a great thing with it.

Fate is fate you cannot change it. If it was going to happen it will happen. If you try to do somthing to avoid the prediction it will in the end cause the prediction to come true. Just my thought on the matter. Btw. I'm finally back and up to date on your comic. It's amazing.

You know what... I'm surprised I didn't think of it either.

Why do psychics always ask for your name? ^_^

Whew okay. I finally managed to go back o the beginning and read through the archives (its been a while since I read the older pages and needed to refresh the plot in my head). Excellent work all the way through and its really cool to see how your work has improved over the course of the story. I hope mine improves at this pace.

(Hitler cheated -_-) Maybe she was lulling them into a false sense of security...?

Great design!

im going with it was fated. something that must happen in order to bring about something bigger and better.. that is beyond our limited understanding of the pattern of time...sort of the butterfly idea small changes become big ones in the pattern of time.
kavonn at 7:17AM, Nov. 13, 2006
if I had one wish, I'd wish I could do whatever I wanted. That takes care of everything. any way you put it, she had her own reasons for going along with it...there's a difference between knowing something and being able to do something about it

I hadn't thought of that either... But come to think of it, she was probably tired of answering so many (and surely some cancerous) questions from the races of the world. Like was said by someone else, perhaps she knew it was for the best that her knowledge be harnessed. Or perhaps she was just short sighted about her ability to stay out of harm? Anyway, great page! I like the texture you've used here!

It's like Miss Cleo from the psyic network. You would of thought she would have seen the bankrupcy coming. :)
Blitz01 at 10:26PM, Nov. 12, 2006
I would expect that she knew that is the way it had to be, and that the world would benifit in it in the long run But I am only making guesses here :P
iamthatis at 10:12PM, Nov. 12, 2006
:O... *Hadn't thought of that.* ^_^;;;
