Cheeko on March 1, 2007
I turn 19 on the 16th!!! Yaaay! Presents! ^^
Also, a very happy birthday to Just-Jake who turned eighteen yesterday! Happy Birthday, dood!
Nothing very exciting going on here, Narini just starts explaining herself. This guy she's talking about sounds familiar, doesn't He? Wow, you just can't get away from these gods and goddesses. Believe it or not, their role in this story is absolutely HUGE, and not just because of their role in Crysthel's imprisonment.
Oh, and the reason Narini's hair looks like it's actually GLOWING is because I forgot to color it orange and didn't realize it until I had flattened everything into one layer. I had to messily fix it. XP
Can you tell I'm already bored of drawing this part? It's just two heads saying things, so I'm trying desperately to keep it interesting. Just a few more pages, Cheeko. You can do it. *bracesself*
MCMan pointed out last week that me pointing out my mistakes makes it sound like I'm fishing for compliments. SO I'm going to stop doing that.
On a related note, the mistakes on the last page were in the last panel: Narini had six fingers and she wasn't wearing her bracelets. Good job to the two people who pointed them out! I'm too lazy to look up your names, sorry.
Okay, so a little while ago I found a video on YouTube of a webcomic panel at a convention called Fandemonium. There were four people there, one of them being Drunk Duck's very own Hawk Culture Shock. It was great to listen to some of the things they had to say, and now one of my many life's goals is to be sitting up on one of those and talking about the stuff I do online. Man, that would be awesome. I just need to find a convention. I hear there's one in Maryland. Hmmm.
Yeeeah. Okay, I'm going to go see if anyone wants to play Super Smash Brothers. See yas.
Cheeko out.

P.S. a random but cool story... My mom once used regular playing cards as Tarot cards... and she ended up predicting when this woman would be married and have kids and all kinds of things. @_@ And yep, it did all come true... common playing cards. It's totally possible. _xD
Fyrsiel at 12:28PM, March 8, 2007
xD Heh, her glowing orange hair actually accents the scene if ye ask me. My favorite part of this page are the last two panels. The shot showing her reaction to the cards is captial! :D *been watching The Village too much* Otakon usually happens in the Baltimore Convention center in early August. :3 It's been in the newspapers, even...

Excellent colors and page layout, here.

... I read your comments, and got the wiggles when you mention Smash Bros. :D BE CF'N!!! CF'N SESSION FTW!!! I like your little description of this higher power over the other Gods. I also noticed the religious relation towards referring to this higher power as He (the h being capitalized). I like how under most circumstances, He doesn't just give the person the vision of their own fate. That would defeat the purpose of fate. But, I'm also sure their's a good reason why He showed Narini her fate. ^_^

Aww, dun be so hard on yesself. Oh, and I demand your presence in my hometown (you know the one) for a bit of shindig I'm havin on the 24th... and perhaps I'll get you some cake for that nineteenth.
NekkoXIII at 1:07PM, March 2, 2007
oh my sweet lord this is a great comic!
hpkomic at 11:01AM, March 2, 2007
Actually, the glowing feel seems rather charming.
Luneko at 10:30AM, March 2, 2007
Oh, those crazy monotheistic Gypsies! Ohoho! (^_^) And Narini is looking gorgeous on this page, as usual. Even if she did have six fingers (which I so totally didn't notice) at one point. ...are you sure she's never killed a Spanish swordmaker?
Kira Dwenna at 9:32AM, March 2, 2007
I was on that panel. I should probably watch the video and see if I made a complete fool of myself. ^~^ Good page as always!
JillyFoo at 8:23AM, March 2, 2007
Oh man! You should link to this youtube video Fandemonium... (or maybe I should just search Fandemonium?) I might be doing a panel with Vicemage(she does the keenspace webcomic Redzone) at the anime Convention Anime Detour this month. Oh and I hope you have a happy birthday! 19?! So young!

I kinda like the glowy hair. It's fun!
jiminycricketX at 7:11AM, March 2, 2007
I like the costume Narini has in the last two panels. And if you're trying to make the pages more interesting to draw, you might want to try some wide shots with both of them in the panel instead of just closeups. That's what I've been doing a lot in the graphic novel me and my bro are working on (since the first chapter is turning out to be very, very talky). Just a suggestion.

It's not boring. They get colored differently every time! I was thinking the hair look kinda neat.
Wazaga at 12:39AM, March 2, 2007
and that's why she was force to abandon Ranu for both their sakes..... I'm just guessing. I love guessing.

We are our own worst critics Cheeko when it comes to our babies. I lost count of the instances where I hated something I drew and someone told me..."MAN that is cool...can I have it?" "Sure I hate it...take it!" Great page... I too tend to get bored with a specific setting...but it's worth sticking with it! Really it is! These are wonderful story building pages and absolutely neccessary to the plot! Keep up the great work!

OMG super smash brothers. WHOOOO! ( young link is l337. ) This page looks super great! I never thought it sounded like you were fishing for compliments. Just being too hard on yourself. :P
