Gamma Garden 1 Cover

Work has been intense since my last update; I haven't had much time to draw over lunch, which is my primarily drawing time. That said, I've been slowly knocking items off my todo list. My store page is finally open and I finished up this cover for the first part of Gamma Garden. I still need to do the interior illustration and thumbnails for the next aside and first part of Gamma Garden 2. I'm almost on the other side of my project at work and, hopefully, should be able to make better progress soon.

I like the grey colour scheme and the vintage feel it lends to everything, and I think it suits the comic well. This said, these coloured cover pages look really amazing. Very, very cool!

I wish I had the time to do more. Working in the grey color scheme is helping me learn to color better, though. I'm starting to think in terms of value more than hue and I'm realizing why some of my past coloring attempts have ended up looking so muddy.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. :D

Ooh, this makes me want to see more of this comic in color!

Me too. Unfortunately it just adds too much time. When I was working on Potato and Kraut, the coloring added quite a bit to the page time. I'm learning a lot with with a restricted grey color scheme, though, and am hoping I might be able to be faster at coloring in the future.
