Ok, You just need to chill out a bit. So what if it's traced. It still takes looks like a lot of work. I'm enjoying it and was just glad to find out it wasn't another sprite comic using drawn art as their comic image after I clicked on it. Good Job, neivuz.
Kira, I've never said this was drawn freehand, and yes alot of it is traced from screen grabs as a starting point.
I wanted the Batman animated style, so I'm not trying to hide it.
It goes alot of work into it either way.
I'm just trying to tell a story, not trying to pass myself off as master cartoonist.
Btw, it's not traced of Jor-el.
Well what do you mean I won't go far? On this page or finishing my comic?
This comic looks like it was traced from screen captures, and mostly Batman Beyond ones at that. It is well composed in the sense that everything looks like it fits together, and you do a good job with the coloring, but I don't appreciate characters that look exactly like animated Bruce Wayne. Plus I can tell what screenshots you traced from. The dead blonde a couple pages back was traced from a screencapture of Terry in bed, and on the bottom frame of the previous page, it was a screenshot of old Bruce sitting but holding his cane. You made the dude crack his knuckles (points for thinking of something to explain the hand position), but the hands still seem a bit odd due to the missing cane. And now we have this page, where it's getting time paradox-y because it's old Bruce and slightly younger Bruce that are being traced over. Even further than that, the look of the "Sam" character is not consistent at all. I'm pretty sure that a screencapture of Jor-El (from Superman the Animated Series) was used for the top right panel on the previous page, I don't know who the heck was used for the close-up panel after that but the face is a completely different shape/structure, and then we go to this page where "Sam" is traced from a middle-aged Bruce Wayne. You won't get far on this kind of tracing, no matter how well-composed it is.
This comic doesn't look interesting to me due to the fact that I'm not a video game person; I only dropped by due to the thumbnail of this comic. I saw it and thought, "Bruce Wayne? With a headband and mustache?"
