I tell ya, our phones got disconnected during the winter (turns out they wanted us to pay for the service, or something like that? Who knew??) and I had a REALLY hard time adjusting to not having the convenience of the phone (a) and not having that free long distance (b). I've adjusted, now, but I now also have a super-fancy cell phone that is basically only good for playing MP3s and using as an alarm clock and calculator ... :-/

amanda- That's why I had to buy a case for mine! :D My problem isn't throwing it out of windows, it's dropping it on the pavement, walking over while bending to try and grab it, and then KICK the damn thing along further ahead of me.
