Now the question is: Did he get the Sellers version or the Martin version? I don't know that I've seen either. I know I haven't seen the Martin version, but I'm trying to remember if I've seen the Sellers version. I've seen different versions of the cartoons.

The Seller's version depicts Inspector Clouseau as a complete bungler who gets by completely on luck while Martins version depicts him as accident prone and overconfident but in both movies he surprises everyone with how shrewd he really is by cracking the case. Martins version is comparable to Maxwell Smart Agent 86 as he successfully cracks the case but stumbles and fumbles all the way through doing it.
