1312. Batman's Darkest Secret

Sameth on Aug. 24, 2018

I mean, this is pretty obvious in some of the cartoon episodes of Batman: The Animated Series and in Batman ‘89. Batman straight up killed The Joker. And there have been other times Batman has just let The Joker die while making up an excuse. At the end of Arkham City (come on, the game has had a upgraded rerelease, if you haven’t played it by now, that's on you!) Batman claims he would've saved The Joker using the cure (not the band), but The Joker made him drop it. I call shenanigans on that. Despite being subjected to the virus himself, Batman is in really good shape versus The Joker who has suffered for a while and is weak. Batman shouldn't have dropped the vial that easily. I say he let him die.

Also, I haven't read the comics in over a year, but I seem to remember them revealing there are like…three Jokers, which is why The Joker always shows up differently and it explains why a healed Joker shows up after the Face/Off Joker seemingly died.

That being said, I can't say I have ever since Batman just put his hand through The Joker's chest.
