Very nice page. You make good use of black, white and grey. I also like the tone of the story. She is a woman that sounds real, and she has serious things to be sorry over. I appreciate that. I am interested to see what happens next- very well done indeed :)
Very good style of art and fits the story well. I like the fact that Penny looks like an ordinary woman and not a super model...helps me feel more connected with her. I am also trying to tell a fantasy story about people rather than a big adventure. My story starts out like a big adventure and then works its way more into the mood of your comic.
I think you've done a great job conveying Penny's world. I share your believe that the world around the characters should be a character as well. Marvelous job!
@cs3 -- I want readers to feel like they're in this world, something that is as important to me as a creator as moving the story along *quickly.* -- I want them to feel like they're meandering in and out of Penny's life.
Visually, it also looked a lot better than having the crowd scene as a smaller part of a bigger page. :D

Another wonderful page. Great variety of people. Is there a reason you appear to be moving to splash pages? Just curious.
