So...the camera pans to the floor while the shooting's going on, leading the audience to believe that the main cast is shot. The party then lands on their feet, proving that the audience's suspicions are false. Seems effective, but it's still a video game. It's not like they'd kill off the ENTIRE main cast at once...well, unless it's that one Japanese Fire Emblem title...
