Remember when I said certain scenes I couldn't imagine getting it as funny as Hiimdaisy did? Well this is probably the biggest one.

I could not find a way to make this joke work, this comic took me a lot longer to write than I'm willing to admit.

Then one day it was really hot so I was like “I'm gonna get me a big ol' slush puppy!” and I did, and it was delicious.

Then I just said “what if he was drinking a slushie?”

…that's about it.

Wait, why doesn't Dojima just have the "brew just a cup" kind of maker? It's been just him and Nanako for a while. Also, the MC doesn't want to try and turn that slushee (after he's taken all the flavor he has in there out) into an iced coffee, apparently.

It's not a issue of better or worse. It's an issue of similarity. Your joke is different, and therefore, funny. Just keep doing what feels right.

Darth: The comic was hard to draw anyways, regardless of comparison. And it's hard to not feel like my comic was competing with Hiimdaisys when I dunno if you've seen it, but a fair chunk of the comments I get are people just quoting from that comic.
