You declining had nothing to do with it. The user awards are based off vote count rather than judging. You just had more people say that you are nice than anyone else.

Well thank you, Yese. I appreciate that. I think what may have helped me win nicest is that I actually tried to decline some of the award nominations I legitimately felt that I didn't deserve.

Well anyone who saw todays presentations saw that Persona 4TW lost Best Parody and Best Mystery (which...it should lol) but I was also awarded the trophy for Funniest User. So I'm nicest and I'm funniest but Persona hasn't won anything yet lol

Judging on past experiences from when I toured Japan I would say that it's probably in Gifu prefecture or one of the surrounding prefectures as it screams central mountain japan to me by the climate and geography.
