Well usually its midnight when it comes on, so technically wouldn't the date change during the time MC would have (see what I did there?) watched the midnight channel? In the game it doesn't, so the safe bet is the whole "when he goes to sleep the date changes" thing .

Technically you would be right about it being pass midnight but three little notes: 1. Was it even raining on that day? At this point of the game everything got kinda weird. It could have happen out of plot and not logic. Plot > logic when it come to games. 2. I don't think the character count it as the next day until he wake up and get out of the bed. Unless it involve something that is time based like a TV show or such I don't even count the day as being tomorrow until around 5-6 AM personally. 3. Big Nose is magical. What is this "time" you speak of?
