Page description:
More narration. The box is abandoned and so is the scene. They pack up and drive away, the tank crews are buried with other military dead, and Cc is like a bad smell back at command. She failed to rescue anybody except Pinky's crew, but they'd already rescued themselves.

Commentary:
I wanted to do this one quickly. It wasn't quick though… the little panels went fast but I kept making mistakes with the main panel! Why is it that rough drawings always look 1000 times better than stiff, traced-over finished pics? I dunno… I had to keep Killing the “finished” versions and go back to the rough one. What a pain! That's why this is late. I also had an unexpected work shift too, which slowed me.

Ir's odd... I usually feel that your back shots of Pinky are quite pornographic, but you know this one doesn't strike me of sexual in the slightest... perhaps it is the pairing with the graveyard in the distance... I'm not certain. At any rate- it's refreshing.

What a tragic page... That panel with the graves needs that "trumpet song" to fill in with the atmosphere... "that song whenever in any war movie funeral moment"! Guess what will Pinky and CC would do next after this failure attempt!

I'd actually prefer just to print this chapter because I think it's by far the best and I wouldn't have to do any extra fixing to the story or pages sizes/order to make it work, so one day... Ah, the BG. the rough BG was deliberate to make a blurry backdrop to the stark midground, to get a photo look. That's why the box is ill-defined too. [b]MOrgan[/b] - Heh! That's because higher Command are areholes... But also because while Cc was meant to be shadowing and assisting the recruits, but she didn't get there in time. What a sad page! It came out really nice, though. You did a really good job with setting the mood in that first panel. I have the same problem with my rough sketches looking more like I want than the finished product. I can't figure it out either. :[ Anyway, really nice work. ^^
