Updates Monday and Thursday
Annnnnnnnnd cut. We finally wrap up the Beaufort Marlowe story and get back to “normal.” It was fun, but I have to say it left me a little creatively drained. The chase scene took what was left of it, and I was just happy to figure out how to end this whole thing.
I thought I'd use the transition to make a slight change in the comic. I'm moving away from the ballpoint pen and I'm going to be doing some “real” inking. We'll see how it goes.. I'm not quite happy with the last panel of this one, and somehow it just didn't feel right not using a ballpoint, but this comic was originally about experimentation.
Next week doesn't so much start a new story as a couple of running gags. Consider yourselves warned. ;) The random strips will follow, of course. I've still got ideas for Sketch Theater and the like, and Garfield Without Garfield has been inspiring me a little.
Hope you all enjoyed the Marlowe story.

Haha... Nice... I think I would get the gag even if I didn't read the comment about it. =^_^=

I guess the gag's not as obvious as I thought... the first two panels were supposed to have been drawn by Beaufort, so they're supposed to be messy and crude since he has little arms. The real test of the new inking style will be starting next week.

(O_O) not to poke... the last panel looks better than the other two... As amanda states, bolder and cleaner... (^U^) yes, I did enjoy this story!!

I like the new pen! It looks bolder and more clean. Yes - you'll get used to it. *nod*
