This is the introduction of Cicero Vernik, aka “Sid”.
he'll be a bigger figure later on in the story, but when I was inspired to create him, I just scribbled him down.

Originally, the “a serious buzz” line was gonna read “serious wood”. I changed it ‘cause I didn’t wanna be crass.
(You can get the derisive laughter outta the way now. I'll wait.)
