You've put your emotions across very nicely in your art as well as your writing. It's always very sad when someone close passes, it never gets any easier either. *hugs*
Dear Foxy,
I am sorry for your loss. It is a painful thing to go through. My grandpa died when I was 12 years old, it was painful cause we were close.Don't be afraid to cry. Seek comfort in other family. Remember that your great grandma would want only the best for you and to see you happy, and she was proud of all the good things you did and continue to do. As an old person I know it's a hard time for you, but time will help heal your hurt:) God bless you and your Family. Tommym
First loss is always the most unusual and in a way, most difficult, so I sympathize. I lost my grandmother when I was 6, so I didn't really understand. My father passed away from cancer 13 years ago and that was hard.
It's also particularly hard on artists, because we feel so strongly and are usually extra-sensitive. The pain will diminish in time. Enjoy the pleasant memories of your great-grandmother, and that she passed without pain. It is a great gift.
In the end, the same love you feel for her will sustain you and give you strength.
sadly, this kind of things happen every day, you have to think, that she is no suffer anymore in this life, and now she´s in a better place, without suffering.
Hugs
I've never had a family member pass, but I also have a very old great grandmother. I don't know how I'll handle it when she goes. It is hard, but you have to find the strength to keep on moving.
I don't know if you believe in it, but my heart and my prayers go out to you, and I hope you and your family find a way through this.
